Impact at destination — year three
Every family gets a bridge — not just a meal.

150,000 households a month means hunger in this region stops being a delivery failure — food rescued from the waste stream, delivered by Mobile Market trucks to doorsteps across 9 states, and SNAP benefits and living-wage careers replacing the gap for families ready to leave the food bank behind.

Why $18M?

85,000 households a month was never the size of hunger in this region. It was the size of our fleet.

Hunger in our 9-state service area is not a food shortage. It is a delivery failure. Farms have food they cannot move; families have benefits they cannot access; young adults have potential that the food-bank line doesn't unlock. 23 trucks and 47 routes proved the model — $1.17 per meal, all-in — but 85,000 households is what 23 trucks can reach. The families past the route are not off the list. They are off the map.

The $1.17 cost changes the conversation because it is already proven — not projected. Every rescue hub, every route, every navigator adds up to a system that is efficient enough to scale. HarvestCorps is placing 78% of graduates into living-wage jobs. SNAP navigators have already unlocked $21M in benefits for 8,700 families who earned them and didn't know it. The infrastructure works. This investment carries it further.

Why 150,000 and not 100,000? Because 100,000 is a larger food bank. 150,000 is a regional food system. At that threshold, the Mobile Markets stop supplementing what families buy at the store and start replacing a distribution gap the store never closed. Below it, we are meeting an emergency. At it, we are preventing one.

And why not more? The 9-state service region sets the boundary. The $18M is what doubling capacity costs at $1.17/meal efficiency — the math set the number. Three years is the build cycle for fleet, cold-chain infrastructure, hubs, and trained navigators. We didn't round up to make a bigger case. We built the case for what doubling actually costs.

How the dollars are allocated: shared logistics and navigation technology is distributed to each pillar by who uses it — route optimization into Mobile Market Hubs, rescue coordination into Farm & Food Rescue, navigator platform into Lasting Food Security. Every dollar lands in a pillar. Operations are never the ask; the outcome is. $5M + $9M + $4M = $18M.
The menu: anchor the full $18M guidepost — or a single pillar stands alone as a complete rationale with its own destination, unit economics, and set gains. $9M Mobile Market Hubs is the natural first bite for distribution-focused funders. $5M Farm & Food Rescue or $4M Lasting Food Security each stand independently. Delivery dependencies exist between pillars — single-pillar gains reflect that pillar's direct contribution.
Numbers to supply before the room — ranked most load-bearing first. Every † on this page maps to one item here.
  1. Fleet cost per truck (†$300K assumed): Confirm all-in per-truck cost (purchase + cold-chain outfitting + fit-out). This anchors the entire Mobile Market Hubs card and the $750K/truck unit-economics figure.
  2. SNAP families per navigator per year (†500 assumed): The $65M leverage figure rests on 18 new navigators × 500 families/navigator/year. Confirm from your navigator team's current caseload — this is the single most load-bearing assumption on the page.
  3. Regional rescue hub build cost (†$700K per hub assumed): $2.1M for 3 hubs is illustrative. Confirm against actual facility quotes or comparable cold-storage construction costs in your region.
  4. HarvestCorps per-slot cost (†~$2,963/slot/year assumed): $1.2M for 135 new slots/year. Confirm against your actual per-participant curriculum + wage + mentorship cost.
  5. Route operations cost per route per year (†~$28,600 assumed): $2.4M ÷ 28 routes ÷ 3 years. Confirm from current per-route operating cost (driver + fuel + maintenance).
  6. Waitlist / demand evidence: The "Why $18M?" block goes qualitative on demand. Replace with specific regional data — route requests, waitlist count, unclaimed-benefit estimates — when available.
  7. Brand identity: HarvestBridge palette and logo not confirmed; colors derived from the hunger-relief / agriculture sector. Confirm brand colors and logo before any funder-facing distribution and apply via the brand hook variables at the top of the CSS.
